How It Works

SpeedTune operates entirely locally within your browser. It adjusts the playback speed of HTML5 video and audio elements on the current page. Your preferred speed per domain is stored locally using chrome.storage.local and never leaves your device.

Permissions

• activeTab — Required to detect and control media elements on the current page.
• storage — Used to save your speed preference per domain locally.

Third-Party Services

This extension makes no network requests and uses no third-party services.
