How It Works

WordCount operates entirely locally within your browser. A lightweight content script detects your text selection and counts words, characters, and estimated reading time on-device. No text or page content ever leaves your browser.

Permissions

• activeTab — Required to access the selected text on the current page.

Third-Party Services

This extension makes no network requests and uses no third-party services.
